The U17 team from Moroccos today won the Youth Cup Antalya 2025 in Turkiye – just a few weeks before the U17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The Atlas Cubs won the friendly tournament After defeating Slovakia 3-1 in the last game. Ali El Filali opened the goals in the fifth minute before Moncef Mohamed scored the second 20 minutes later. Ismael Ziani brought the game out of reach with a goal in the 53rd minute.
Morocco rose with six points at the top of the league-like competition. They lost the start of 1-0 against the Czech Republic, but won 1-0 against Uzbekistan and Slovakia.
The Youth Cup Antalya allowed head coach Nabil Baha to put his players to the test. Goalkeeper Chouaib Bellaarouch from Mohammed VI Academy, who had stopped two punishments. Amine Amgar, Jacopo Maglia and Ali El Failali also scored points. Baha has enough quality players in his squad to call for the AFCON 2025.
