Morocco takes over a continuous work plan for public offices


Marrakech – As a holy month of Ramadan, Morocco will implement a continuous work plan from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for public administrations, institutions and local authorities, today the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration reform announced.

The necessary accommodations would be made available to employees in order to carry out the Friday prayer, added.

While the country maintains GMT+1 all year round for energy efficiency and the economic orientation with European partners, this annual change aims to facilitate daily routines during Lent.

Government studies have shown that maintaining the GMT+1 all year round has a reduction in electricity consumption by 37.6 gigawatts and a reduction in carbon emissions by 11,444 tons.

However, practice has triggered the current public debate. Some health experts have emphasized their impact on sleep patterns and general well -being, especially in children, especially in children.
