South Africa tightened the test game and claimed two important gates in front of the tea on the fourth day, but Pakistan’s struggle under the hunt. Pakistan has brought a spirited partnership between Salman Agha and Mohammad Rizwan within 16 runs to avoid defeating an inner sings and create the stage for a gripping finale.
Masoods marathon ends in controversy
Shan Masood’s bravery pounding, which stretched for 368 minutes, ended in a controversial way. Kwena Maphaka, South Africa’s outstanding bowl of the session, delivered a pleasant delivery that kept low and beat Masood’s front panel. The referee Nitin Menon initially judged that the stumps miss the stumps, but showed a successful South African review that it was made. Masoods frustration was obvious when he protested the decision, a less often sight in the normally composed dough.
The dismissal of Masood marked the climax an excellent post-lunch session for South Africa. Kagiso Rabada, who had steamed from the other end, made Saud Shakeel, who displaced a trip to the slips. Shakeel’s departure left the Pakistan behind, but Agha and Rizwan laid the ship.
Agha and Rizwan lead resistance
Salman Agha and Mohammad Rizwan suggested that the South African attack stumped and reduced the deficit. Your partnership is based on patience, turning the strike and punishing the rare loose delivery. Agha in particular used Wiaan Mulder’s idiosyncratic line and hit two boundaries in a quick succession to give Inning in Pakistan’s Inning.
Since the ball loses its shine and the field jumps inconsistently, the bowl in South Africa is hard. Keshav Maharaj, who almost continuously bagged through the morning meeting, continued to be a threat with his fluctuations in flight and pace, although the gates mainly fell on the Pacers.
Morning session: South Africa takes early on the street
The morning began with Marco Jansen, who dismissed the Nachtwatchman Khurram Shahzad, who broke up an increasing delivery to Maharaj at the point. Kagiso Rabada then produced a moment of the brilliance to clean up Kamran Ghulam and bowling a delivery that came back to root and medium -bumped.
Rabadas Wicket marked his 50th test scalp in Newlands, a milestone that he celebrated with a triumphal roar. Despite his success, the South African Quick had a mixed morning that gave runs through indiscipline, including four no-balls.
Pakistan’s Saud Shakeel offered resistance alongside Masood, but his stay was impaired by nearby. Maphaca hit him with a beauty that came to the pads, even though South Africa decided against a review. Hawk-Eye later showed that the delivery had hit the stumps, a missed opportunity that did not turn out to be too expensive when Shakeel fell shortly after lunch.
South Africa under control, but the work remains
While the match leads towards its last phase, South Africa holds the upper hand, but cannot afford complacency. Since Rizwan and Agha can surprise resilience and Pakistan’s cock, visitors are far from being surrendered.
The proteas will try to quickly handle the inner tea and avoid a difficult chase on a pitch. For Pakistan, survival remains the main goal when they fight to force South Africa again.
Test Cricket’s drama is alive and good, and all eyes are directed on Newland when the campaign takes place again.
