The satisfaction of inquiries about university grants in the national average in the current academic year achieved 93%in the current academic year, announced on Monday in the House of Representatives, the Minister of University Education, Scientific Research and ‘Innovation, Azzedine El Midaoui.
In response to two oral questions about “expanding the base of the beneficiaries of university grants,” El Midaoui said that the ministry answered 174,000 inquiries from 187,000 submissions in the non -submitted deadlines in the current year. The minister stated that the total number of scholarships is determined annually under a joint decision between the Ministry of Economics and Financing and the Ministry of University Formation, Scientific Research and Innovation and explains that this operation is based on the Unified Social Register (RSU) Common criterion for determining the beneficiaries taking into account the number of inquiries and the assigned budget.
Through the national office for university, social and cultural works, the Ministry pays scholarships to authorized students who are enrolled in a public university company.
However, the minister insisted that the need to diversify the sources of financing for university scholarships that are currently dependent on the general budget of the ministry as part of the advanced regionalization.
