Openaai says it spoke to government officials about his ongoing studies on Deepseek.
The Chatgpt manufacturer previously claimed to have evidence that Deepseek trained its AI models with data not properly received from the Openai -API. While A Bloomberg TV interview On Monday, Chris Lehan, Chief Global Affairs Officer from Openai said that the company had spoken to government officials about the probe.
Some criticized Openaai here for hypocrisy. Several publishers sue the startup to train their AI models in copyrighted works. But now Openai is aimed at Deepseek to apparently train on the AI model outputs.
Lehan said there is a difference. He compared the training methods of Openaai with reading a library book and learning from it, while Deepseek’s methods are more like a new cover on a library book and sell it as your own.
The latter is not far from The argument of the New York Times in his copyright case Against Openaai.
