Who is your favorite -Batman float? Most will say that the joker, some, say, catwoman or bane, but there are shell apions. But they knew the inside Batmans Expansive Rogues gallery That also lies Original BAT-Man? Yes, Count Dracula performed in three Batman films – but you can only see one of them.
This is not as outside-a pairing is what it looks like. Batman mainly fights against other freaks in costumes -from clowns to cats to scarecrows to rejected quiz show guys -but some of the nemeses of the Dark Knight are downright. Take Ra’s Al Ghul, the head of the demon, which has stayed young for 700 years and is suitable with the help of the magical Lazarus pit, a functional youth fountain.
A handful of Batman comics -Peter Milligans “Dark Knight, Dark City”, Grant Morrison’s “Batman” POS and RAM VS “Detective Comics” -presented Gotham City as poisoned Kelche, which was literally haunted by the Bat -Demon -Barbatos . Barbatos is an enemy who can only fight Batman by inspiring the darkness in himself and in the hope of all of Gotham.
In the creepy story “Sanctum” (published in “Legends of the Dark Knight” #54) Batman falls through a grave and hits some of Gotham’s spirits. Writer/artist Mike Mignola looks crucial for his later creation of HellboyAnd in 2000 he returned to bring Batman into a story directly from Lovecraft: “The fate that came to Gotham.” Some of Batman’s inhumane enemies also include vampires. “Batman: Caped Crusader” contained an episode in which the villain was The youth vampiress nocturna. As for the Lord of the Vampires himself, he and the dark knight in 1992 Comic met “Batman and Dracula: Red Rain” by Doug Moench and Kelley Jones.
Decades before this comic, two very different filmmakers Dracula set against Batman: Andy Warhol and Filipino director Leody M. Diaz.
Andy Warhol made a lost Batman against Dracula film
Thanks to the “Batman” television series with Adam West and Burt, the 1960s were a highlight in Bat-Mania. This hype brought “Batman” to the cinema and Warner Bros. Even a Batman and Godzilla crossover film hovered. Somehow Warner Bros. didn’t think of combining Batman with Dracula, a much more natural fit, so the fans had to fill out.
Andy Warhol, one of the decisive pop artists of the 1960s, was reportedly a fan of Batman. That is not surprising; Superhero comics of the 1960s fit perfectly into the pop art aesthetics, especially in the sometimes surreal stories by Batman and Superman. In 1964 Warhol showed his film “Batman Dracula”, a quiet black and white film about the two title characters (both played by actor Jack Smith), who hunted and came together. Since it was not authorized by DC Comics, “Batman Dracula” was never published, but Fragments of the film made it to the Internet.
Not luck for the other Batman/Dracula film, which (at least for now) is considered to be directly lost. “Batman Fights Dracula” was a 1967 film that was published and distributed in the Philippines. Batmans (jing abalos) enemy Dr. Zorba (Ramon d’Alva) counts Dracula (Dante Rivero) to defeat his enemy. Instead, Batman’s commitment to justice over Dracula wins. Like Warhol’s film, this film was an unauthorized adaptation and it is known that no film material survived. Some still images and posters from “Batman fights against Dracula” were recovered.
Two completely independent filmmakers stumble across the same idea, just three years apart, proof of a strong premise. In 2005 Grün finally shone an official Batman against Dracula film in 2005.
There is an animated Batman vs. Dracula film that you can see
“The Batman vs. Dracula” is located in the simultaneous Batman cartoon, 2004 “The Batman”. The film was premiered between the second and third seasons of the cartoon and used the same character designs and the material route as well as the guest stars Peter Stormare such as The Count and Tara Strong like Vicki Vale. In a way, “The Batman vs. Dracula” is an expanded episode, but is structured as an independent feature. You only need knowledge about Batman, not “The Batman” to enjoy it. It is also much more violent than the cartoon itself with blood and horror film pictures on the screen. (You cannot do justice to Dracula on TV-Y7.)
The film’s film is as follows: After Dracula had been defeated decades in Transylvania decades ago, his hunters sent his body across the sea to Gotham. Dracula rested for years until Penguin (who pursues a buried treasure map) stumbles on his grave and accidentally revived him. The revived Dracula hypnotized Penguin in his servant, a la Renfield, in the original novel and pursues Vicki as well as Mina Harker. (Dracula later transforms the joker into a vampire, so I think that makes him Lucy?)
With the real Van Helsing, who is probably dead for a long time, Batman has to appear to defeat Gotham’s new threat. The film contrasts Batman and Dracula, whereby the vampire lord itself sees Batman as his self-proclaimed heir. “Didn’t flatter you,” replies Batman, but Dracula counters, “we throw related shadows.” Even their character designs reflect each other. Dracula Cape falls around his shoulders and hides him, but when he extends his arms, the Cape takes up the appearance of wings, as well as Batman’s chap. The two dress in black, but Draculas Cape has red highlights and contrasts the blue tones of Batman’s costume. In contrast to Batman, Dracula can literally Fly, disappear into shade and become a bat. To defeat him, Bruce Wayne may have to get out of the dark.
It is obviously not the biggest Batman film, but “The Batman vs. Dracula” does justice to his title as a Tewel, which is both action-packed and much creepy.
“The Batman vs. Dracula” can bought and rent on numerous digital platforms, including Prime video.
