Lisandro Martinez will miss the rest of the season after Manchester United has confirmed that the defender at Crystal Palace damaged a cruciate ligament during the home accident on Sunday.
The Argentina international was removed on a stretcher at the weekend, and although United did not state how long he will end, most ACL injuries require a rehabilitation period of at least six months.
This time frame means that Martinez will return over the summer and should be fit for the beginning of the next season.

In an United Declaration it says: “Manchester United can confirm that Lisandro Martinez suffered an injury to his cruciate ligament in the game against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
“The assessment of the injury is completed to determine the appropriate course of treatment and the time scale for its rehabilitation.
“Everyone at Manchester United wishes Lisandro Martinez strength for successful recovery and we will support him every step of the way.”
Martinez was one of the few constants in an United defense, which, due to shape and fitness problems, has changed and changed the whole season throughout the season.
The former Ajax man had played well and scored the winner 1-0 in Fulham on January 26th.
