It was 24 months for the Philadelphia Eagles for 24 months. Philly has made it since February 2023 and lost a super bowl, was blown out in the playoffs last year and then torn down 15 wins after he started 2-2 this season to get it back to the Super Bowl.
The team has definitely done the adversity with which the Eagles were confronted, but only two years after a disappointing loss in Super Bowl LVII, Philadelphias Front Office did a masterful job to build a winning manager. One could argue that the Eagles are a better team from top to bottom than the chiefs.
Let us analyze Philly’s position groups and give each unit a grade from A to F.
Quarterback – C
With a 46:20 record of the regular season and five playoff wins Since entering the NFL, Jalen Hurts has proven that he can win at all levels. Despite this fact, I am not a person who believes that victories are a quarterback status. Victories are achieved by teams.
If we look at Hurts’ Passing numbers and use this to evaluate his game instead of just winning, we see a quarterback that has recently been average to below average.
With only 168.3 yards per game during the post-season, Hurts is average the second-person yards among all playoff quarters. It is also with regard to the quarterback evaluation (105.0, for sixth place).
Hurts’ Note was saved by its running skills. He has the second most common TDS in the playoffs (four) and receives an average of 40.7 floor stations per game.
Run back – a
If you have read one of my Super Bowl -Lix analyzes, then you know that I think I think Saquon Barkley is the best player who comes into this game. During the regular season he ran over 2,000 yards and followed with 442 rushing yards in the playoffs (147.3 yards per game). I expect Saquon to have at least 100 rushing yards this Sunday.
Barkley’s backups also played well. Kenneth Gainwell achieved an average of almost 4.6 meters per carry during the off -season. In the meantime, SHIPLEY broke a 57-yard run in the NFC championship game.
Running back is easily one of the best positions of the Eagles.
Wide receiver – C.
I would like to see more consistency from Philly’s broad recipient room. After AJ Brown had been recorded for 24 yards in his first two games, he caught six passes for 96 yards and a touchdown in the NFC championship. At the same time, the slot recipient Jahan Detson has been kept in the Wild Card round since his 11-yard touchdown reception.
Devonta Smith was a reliable goal with four catches in the playoff games from Philly. Unfortunately, he did not exceed the 55-yard brand this off-season.
This is a talented wide receiver corps, but during this playoff run, only three widouts actually caught a passport for the Eagles. This lack of production means that this position group is only average.
Engstest end – b
If Travis Kelce weren’t, NFL fans would say that Dallas Goedert was the best tight end in the off -season. Goedert leads all the narrow ends to the reception of yards (188), while in reception they occupy second place (15). In addition, he was effective in the running game as a blocker and ball carrier (13 rushing yards wear on two). With a touchdown in the first round of the playoffs, he is already half of his touchdown exit for the regular season.
The only reason why Phillys don’t get tight goals is that I don’t know how much I can trust Backup Grant Grant Grant Calcaterra who only has one reception in the playoffs. If something Goedert would happen, Philly’s narrow end room would be screwed.
Offensive line – a
The Eagles offensive line is the best unity of the team. Three of the five starters were recorded in the Pro Bowl, but that is only because Jordan Mailata was sniffed from the voters. In reality, the Eagles should have had four per bowl -offensive lines this year.
The offensive line helped Philly an average of 179.3 rushing yards per game in the regular season. This number somehow improved to 227.7 meters in the post -season.
The squad gave up 11 sacks in the playoffs (for most in the league), but this is partly due to the fact that Jalen violates the knee in the division round against the Los Angeles Rams. I doubt that Phillys sack bag sack would be so high if Hurts were completely healthy.
I am very pleased that the Eagles offensive line corresponds to the defensive front of the chiefs. That will be the struggle that determines who wins super bowl LIX.
Defensive line – B
Most of Philly’s sacks in the playoffs come from the position of the linebackers, but the defenders of the Eagles did not stop from the zipping games.
Defensive Tackle Jalen Carter could be Philly’s best defender. He has two sacks and 20 quarterback prints (most in this off -season). He also leads all playoff -DTS in Quarterback hits and healersAccording to Pro Football Focus.
The defense colleague Jordan Davis was solid during the Playoff run of the Eagles. The 6’6 ″, 336 lbs. Lineman has a sack in three games and a total of four duels.
Even Moro Ojomo The third stringer recorded a sack and five duels during this run.
After Brandon Graham, the experienced defensive end of the route on the route, this Sunday, Philly’s defensive line is ready to have a big game.
Line backer – a
I’ve already mentioned it, but Zack Baun looked like a candidate of the defenders of the year during the playoffs. Philly could have the deepest Linebacker area in the NFL.
Cornerback – B
Darius Slay Jr., Cooper Dejean and Quinyon Mitchell have created a ban on flight for Philly on the defensive side of the ball. Slay has five passable steering in the playoffs (for first), while Mitchell distracted four passports (bound to third place), and Dejean has three passable controls (for the fifth). In addition, they have teamed up for three interceptions.
The problem comes with teams preventing the ball effectively. Philly allows the fifth highest yards (245.7 yards per game) in the playoffs and the fourth most common yards per game (271.3).
The Eagles’ cornerback room is excellent (in the playoffs permissible percentage in the second lowest completion), but they lose a letter from a letter because crimes were able to win a lot of meters through the air.
Security – B
CJ Gardner-Johnson and Reed Blankenship round off Phillys secondary level. Blankenship was an undisclosed hero for defending the Eagles with a total of 24 tackles (second in the team) and a forced fum.
