Street accidents claim 19 life in Morocco’s urban areas last week

Rabat – nineteen people were killed and 2,445 injured, 93 of them seriously, in the 1,819 street accidents, which took place in urban areas in urban areas from January 27 to February 3, according to General Directorates for National Security (DGSN) in urban areas.

These accidents were mainly due to the inattentiveness of the drivers, the failure, priority, exceedance of speed and failure, to maintain a secure distance, DGSN pointed out in a press release.

With regard to the control and enforcement of traffic violations, the security services gave 51,549 tickets, presented 9,368 reports to the public prosecutor and collected 42,181 transaction foot losses with a total of 9.5 million in 9.5 million.

The DGSN also reported the pollution of 4,982 vehicles, the withdrawal of 9,368 driving licenses and the immobilization of 480 vehicles.
