The International Agricultural Exhibition (SIA) in France, which will take place in Paris from February 22nd to March 2, 2025, will first honor a country: Morocco. This election, which the organizers announced on Tuesday, is the recognition of the Moroccan agricultural know-how and historical cooperation between the two nations.
During the press conference, the French Minister of Agriculture and Food sovereignty, Annie Genevard emphasized that this tribute reflects the solid connections between France and Morocco, especially in agriculture and adaptation to climate change. āOur agriculture learns from each other and water management in Morocco is an inspiring example,ā she said.
The President of the SIA, JĆ©rĆ“me Despey, insisted on the strategic dimension of this choice and called āa decision for five yearsā. According to him, complementarity between Moroccan and French agriculture opens up the way to enrich the exchange. Morocco is represented by a 476 mĀ² pavilion that highlights labeled local products and the work of local cooperatives. Visitors can also discover cultural activities, tastings and demonstrations of the Moroccan know-how.
The general director of the Agricultural Development Agency (ADA), El Mahdi Arrifi, expressed his pride to see the guest kingdom of honor. He emphasized that this participation highlights the authenticity and diversity of the Moroccan agricultural sector and at the same time strengthens bilateral partnerships.
With more than 600,000 expected visitors, the International Agriculture Show 2025 promises an extraordinary edition that not only celebrates French agriculture, but also the dynamics and excellence of the Moroccan agricultural sector.
