We test tons of tablets every year. Here are some others that we like, just not as much as our selection above.
OnePlus pad for 399 US dollars: The OnePlus pad has a successor, but OnePlus says that it will continue to sell the OnePlus pad until the stocks have expired. It is a great price -performance ratio at the frequently reduced price of 300 US dollars (8/10, Wired recommends). Multitasking is particularly efficient, supported by the company’s accessories: a magnetic daily housing and a pen. It was the first time that I felt comfortable to work long distances on an Android tablet. The 11.61-inch LCD-144-HZ display is sharp, fluid and colorful, the battery can hold almost a full working day and the performance is smooth. It is a shame that there is no microSD slot, headphone socket or biometric authentication.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Fe Plus for $ 480: The Galaxy Tab S9 Fe is “Fan Edition“Version of the flagship table S9 series, ie a few victims for a more tasty price. The processing quality of the Poco is impressive for the price, although it is quite bulky and heavy and is ideal for films or casual games in bed in bed. The performance is stretched when you play something too demanding, and hyperos on Android 14 can be awkward and ugly. Honor Magicpad 2 for £ 500: This classic tablet is currently not sold in the USA. Similar to the OnePlus-Pad 2 recommended above, it offers a really beautiful OLED display with impressive specifications (3K resolution, 1,600 NITS, 144 Hz update rate), which are generally not available at this price. In combination with the eight speakers, it is a pleasure to watch films and games on this tablet. The pen and the keyboard are great (I love the handwriting and the formula detection), but they do not seem to be available in the UK. I found Honor’s AI functions, such as the Magic Portal, which predicts what you want to do, very useful, maybe more on a tablet than on a phone. The battery life is good and the shop is quick (66 watts). Satechi aluminum desktop stand for 45 US dollars: This is my favorite tablet, so much that I took it with me while traveling.
