The Moroccan Football Museum (MFM) in the heart of the Maâmora complex in Salé will open its doors to the general public every weekend of February 1, 2025. Visits will be possible on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. A joint press release from the MFM, the Royal Maroccan Football Federation (FRMF) and the National Museum Foundation (FNM), said enthusiasts of the round ball to dive into the history and the heroicism of Moroccan football.
The museum offers a permanent exhibition organized by six main topics: Royal Vision, Terre des Pionniers, Land of Excellence, Hall of Fame, Hospital and Land of Passion. These spaces underline the development of Moroccan football, from the first generations to the latest. At the same time, a temporary exhibition is pursuing the significant moments of participating Morocco in the World Cup since 1970.
Through objects, stories and certificates, the museum celebrates football as a national passion and vector of unity, said the press release. The initiative is part of the vision of its majesty king Mohammed VI, who works to preserve and improve the sporting legacy of the kingdom.
The Moroccan Football Museum inaugurated in March 2024 is to become a place of memory and inspiration for young and old sports lovers. This public for the public is a new stage in the promotion of Moroccan football culture, with immersive experience combining emotions, history and national pride.
