Star Trek: Section 31 is now available for streaming, and the consensus seems to be It’s extremely bad. If you are a Star Trek fan, you may worry, but I have good news.
Despite his title Star Trek: Section 31 is not a part of Star Trek at all. It is actually part of a completely different canvas universe.
First a small background. The film is announced as a spin-off that focuses on a figure played by Michelle Yeoh Star Trek: Discovery. Star Trek: Section 31 Only received the green light after Yeoh was awarded the best leading actress for her performance in the multiverse film at the Oscars Everything everywhere at once.

Everything everywhere at once is a film about endless alternative universes. By generally having nothing to do with Star Trek and everything with this film, Section 31 is cemented as in the taking place Everything everywhere at once Multiverse, Not in the Star Trek universe.
Michelle Yeohs Philippa Georgiou figure is just another multi-universe version of her Everything everywhere Character. Jamie Lee Curtis is one of the few constants that the figure has with them when she leaves through the multiverse of the film. So of course she is here too.
It is already a spin-off of non-canon material
In order to give this theory even more fuel, the fact that section 31 is supposedly an offshoot of it is Star Trek: Discovery, And Star Trek: Discovery is not part of Star Trek either. Or at least not part of the best Star Trek time bar.
In the series final of the show Star Trek: Unterdecks reinforced Discovery to take away Place in an alternative universe. Now we know that the universe is the same in which “Everything Everywhere all at Once” plays and that it has nothing to do with Star Trek.
Let me have my deception. After suffering Section 31It is the only way to ever be able to enjoy Star Trek again.
