Bruno Fernandes says the current malaise at Manchester United is “not okay” and any player who thinks so should be transferred.
United suffered a bitter 3-1 defeat at home to Brighton yesterday, their sixth defeat in their last nine league games. Head coach Ruben Amorim then admitted that they were possibly the “worst team in Manchester United’s history”.
Amorim’s team was once again leaderless and captain Fernandes is calling on the players to get things under control quickly.
He told Sky Sports: “I understand the outside perspective. But we can’t be comfortable and think that’s okay. That’s not it.
“I’m not here to lose games and be in the position we’re in right now. But I know there’s no one in that locker room, and if there’s someone there, they can’t be here.”

With Brighton’s win, Brighton continued their dominance over United. The Seagulls have now won six of their last seven meetings, including all three at Old Trafford, although that would not have been of interest to Portuguese midfielder Fernandes.
He added: “I don’t care. It’s another loss for us. It doesn’t matter how many times they won against us.
“I remember the past when they didn’t win a game here. That won’t change anything.
“The most important thing that will change for us is that we didn’t get the three points today. Congratulations to them, they played a good game and deserved to win the game.”
United have a chance to get back on their feet on Thursday night when they host Rangers in the Europa League. Their next league game is away to Fulham next Sunday.
