Dakhla: Ban on harvesting and marketing shellfish products

The State Secretariat for Sea Fisheries has declared a ban on the harvesting and marketing of shellfish products in the Taourta-Oum Labouir area near Dakhla due to the detection of marine toxins in mussels.
This measure will remain in place until the environment is completely cleaned.

In addition, consumers are advised to purchase products with health labels only from authorized outlets, as the sale of shellfish in large quantities may pose a risk to public health.
