Curtis Jones surprisingly admits to Mohamed Salah, claiming he is not as good as a former Chelsea winger

Curtis Jones says Eden Hazard was a better player than Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah.

Comparisons are often drawn between Hazard and Salah due to their similar, diminutive stature and the overall brilliance the pair have brought to the Premier League.

And although Jones grew up with Hazard and is still a big fan, he says he would rather have Salah at his side.

The Liverpool man told TNT Sports ahead of tomorrowā€™s Champions League game against Lille at Anfield: ā€œI know he (Hazard) is constantly being compared to Mo. I was there with Mo.

ā€œAs a player I watched as a child, I loved the game, I studied the game and I wanted to be like a player. I feel like Hazard was the one. Every game I saw him at, I thought, ā€œWowā€¦this is football.ā€

Jones added: ā€œIs he better as a footballer than Mo? In my opinion, yes. But who would you rather have on your team? Youā€™ll say Mo because he gives you the goals and assists.ā€

Jonesā€™ verdict caused a stir on social media and led Jones to reiterate his stance on who he would rather play with.

Salah was instrumental in Liverpoolā€™s rise to the top of the Premier League table with 18 goals and 13 assists this season.
