Curtis Jones says Eden Hazard was a better player than Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah.
Comparisons are often drawn between Hazard and Salah due to their similar, diminutive stature and the overall brilliance the pair have brought to the Premier League.
And although Jones grew up with Hazard and is still a big fan, he says he would rather have Salah at his side.
The Liverpool man told TNT Sports ahead of tomorrowās Champions League game against Lille at Anfield: āI know he (Hazard) is constantly being compared to Mo. I was there with Mo.
āAs a player I watched as a child, I loved the game, I studied the game and I wanted to be like a player. I feel like Hazard was the one. Every game I saw him at, I thought, āWowā¦this is football.ā
Jones added: āIs he better as a footballer than Mo? In my opinion, yes. But who would you rather have on your team? Youāll say Mo because he gives you the goals and assists.ā
Jonesā verdict caused a stir on social media and led Jones to reiterate his stance on who he would rather play with.
