Ouarzazate: 120 million DH to strengthen

A budget of DH120 million will be allocated to strengthen drinking water supplies in the city of Ouarzazate. Work began on Saturday to strengthen the supply network that benefits several communities on the Ouarzazate-Sekoura axis from the city’s water facilities.

This project, whose work will be completed next September, will benefit from a contribution of DH90 million from the Ministry of Interior. It will serve a target population of around 90,000 residents, including 45,000 new beneficiaries, located on the Ouarzazate-Sekoura axis.

The project, he explained, consists in particular of the construction of a 30 km water pipeline to supply drinking water, the construction of a pumping station of 500 m3 and the construction of a storage tank with a capacity of 1,500 m3, detailed the general director of the Ouarzazate Aménagement Company, Brahim Hammou Aouja.
