Roommates, Barbie has achieved her great work and published a Aaliyah Doll in honor of the late singer’s 46th birthday.

According to the Detroit Free PressBarbie released the doll as part of the brand’s musical series. Per Mattel Creations websitethe description of the item confirms this “Aaliyah’s smooth vocals and innovative sound defined ’90s R&B, and her influence on music and fashion is still felt today. Our tribute to the life and sound of ‘Babygirl’ will take any collection to the top of the charts.”
Additionally, the doll cost $55 and was modeled after the faux leather outfit Aaliyah wore for her “One In A Million” music video.
Per Detroit Free PressThe doll was only available for purchase to members of the Barbie Club 59. Additionally, the sale was scheduled to begin on Wednesday, January 15th and end on January 16th at 11:59 p.m. However, the doll is already sold out.

As The shadow room As previously reported, Aaliyah recently made headlines when her former boyfriend Dame Dash spoke out about his connection to R. Kelly. In October, Dash reflected on his time with Jay-Z and their appearance in Kelly’s “Fiesta” music video.
“…when Jay was still doing business with R. Kelly, I went back and said to Aaliyah, ‘Yo, they’re still doing projects, they have singles together, they’re making videos.’ I don’t want to go to the video. “I don’t want to be a part of it or have any part in it,” Dash recalls.
