Cold wave and snowfall in several provinces of the Kingdom

The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) forecasts cold weather with temperatures between -8 and 9 °C for Wednesday to Friday. Snowfall is also expected at altitudes above 1,400 m in several provinces of Morocco from Friday to Saturday, resulting in an “orange” alert.

Minimum temperatures are expected to be between -8 and -2°C, while maximum temperatures in regions such as Ifrane, Boulemane and Sefrou will be between 0 and 6°C. Other provinces such as Jerada and Taourirt experience minimum temperatures between -4 and 1°C and maximum temperatures between 3 and 9°C.

In addition, provinces such as Al Hoceima, Guercif and Midelt are expected to experience 15 to 30 cm of snowfall between Friday and Saturday.
