France: Record cocaine seizures in 2024
In France, cocaine seizures reached a new record in 2024. In the first eleven months of last year, almost 47 tons of cocaine were seized by the French services in charge of the fight against drugs in the first eleven months of 2024, twice as much as in 2023, Defense Minister Bruno announced on Monday Retailleau.
“It’s historic, a record”said the minister during a visit to Le Havre, where there was a massive seizure of cocaine at the end of December. Within a year, cocaine seizures had more than doubled, with “23 tons” seized in all of 2023, the minister recalled. “In 10 years we have seen a tenfold increase in cocaine transfers,” he added.
