LDC CAF: L

AS FAR has won its ticket to the quarter-finals of the Confederation of African Football (LDC CAF) Champions League. The soldiers forced Raja Casablanca to share the points (1-1) at the Stade d’Honneur in Meknes on Saturday evening, allowing them to punch their ticket for the rest of the competition.

A well-converted corner from Zouhzouh was poorly handled by Youssef Belamari, leaving Zniti to score without their own team. In the second half, Raja tried to get the score back against an established FAR team. But through defense, AS FAR finally gave in 15 minutes before the end of regular time and conceded a goal through a penalty brilliantly converted by Nawfal Zarhouni.

Raja, who is yet to be eliminated, will have to beat Maniema Union of the Democratic Republic of Congo in their next game and expect AS FAR to win in South Africa against Mamelodi Sundowns.
