Starting this month, Amazon Prime clothing shoppers will no longer be allowed to try on clothes before purchasing
Amazon is discontinuing it Try it before you buy Prime program at the end of January. The move, first reported by The informationwas announced with a notice at the top of the “Try Prime before you buy” page, setting January 31 as the last day in effect. The service has been available to members since 2018 first launched as Prime Wardrobe. This allowed you to select up to six items to try on and return anything you didn’t want for free within a week. You’ll only be charged for the items you want to keep, and you can choose from select clothing, shoes, jewelry and accessories.
In a statement about it CNBCsaid an Amazon spokesperson: “Given the try-before-you-buy combination, scaling has only occurred to a limited number of items and customers are increasingly using our new AI-powered features such as virtual try-on, personalized size recommendations, review highlighting and improved size charts To ensure you find the right solution, we are discontinuing the Try Before You Buy option effective January 31, 2025.” If you are still using this service, you should complete final orders as soon as possible.
