Independence manifesto: Royal pardon in favor of 1,304 convicts

His Majesty King Mohammed VI has pardoned 1,304 people convicted by various courts in the Kingdom on the occasion of the celebrations of the presentation of the Independence Manifesto, the Ministry of Justice said in a press release.

The beneficiaries of the royal pardon who are in custody include 948 prisoners, distributed as follows: – Pardon for the remainder of the prison or segregation sentence in favor of 33 prisoners. – Remission of prison sentences or confinement sentences for 915 prisoners.

As for the beneficiaries of the royal pardon who are at liberty, there are 356 people, distributed as follows: – Pardon of the prison sentence or its remainder in favor of 62 people. – Pardon of the prison sentence while maintaining the fine in favor of 15 people. – Pardon of the fine in favor of 260 people. – Pardon of imprisonment and fine in favor of 19 people.
