Schedule, roster, format and streaming
The countdown to the Women’s Ashes 2025 has finally come to an end. England women are on a mission to end their 12-year wait for the Ashes trophy against Australia. The multi-format series starts on January 12th
Women’s Ashes 2025 format
The Women’s Ashes 2025 will follow a new format. The one-off Test match will conclude the series instead of opening it. The iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) will host the final match of the series. This will be the first women’s Test at the MCG since 1949.
The Test will be a four-day, day-night affair, presenting a unique challenge for both teams. It also marks the 90th anniversary of the first women’s Test match, making it a historic occasion in more ways than one.
The same points system as before will apply to the Women’s Ashes 2025. The Test match is worth four points while each T20I and ODI win is worth two points. Nine points is the magic number to take home the Ashes. What if it ends in a draw? Australia retains the trophy.
