Emmanuel Latte Lath has scored goals regularly with Middlesbrough but he is the subject of interest from league leaders Leeds United in January.
So far in 2024/25, Emmanuel Latte Lath scored 10 goals and two assists (Transfer market), in addition to the 16 goals and one assist he scored for Middlesbrough in the English second division last season.
That’s no wonder Leeds would be interested in him helping them gain automatic promotion to the Premier League.
Leeds want Emmanuel Latte Lath
The It is reported that all the Whites want to raid another championship outfit for a 26-year-old ace, while a The Premier League defender is also of interest to Leeds.
With Daniel Farke and 49ers Enterprises also having a potential offer for Latte Lath, they certainly seem serious about their attempts to move up straight away this season.
Automatic failure at the death last season was a bitter blow, made worse by the play-off final defeat to Southampton, who are now struggling in England’s top flight.
Leeds United news have reported that the club are eyeing a new number 9, hence the interest in Latte Lath, however West Ham, Ipswich and Leicester City have also been credited with a possible move for the player.
Reasons why Middlesbrough don’t want to lose Emmanuel Latte Lath
Middlesbrough will probably be reluctant to lose their striker considering they are fifth in the table and have at least a good chance of a potential play-off place.
Should they lose Latte Lath’s presence at the top, it could prove to be a decision they would later regret.
With more than three weeks left until the January transfer window, there is still plenty of time to get a deal done, although it obviously won’t be easy for Leeds to complete.
Ultimately, the will of the player could decide which direction it goes.
