Jennifer Lopez reportedly felt “threatened” by Ben Affleck’s ex-wife.

The singer reportedly loathed the closeness between the former couple, who married in 2005 and welcomed three children together before announcing their split in 2015.

During her divorce from Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez posted a new video on her Instagram page in which she flaunted her bikini body as if to show her ex what he’s missing.

New revelations have emerged about Lopez and Affleck’s failed marriage, and it turns out that a trusted third party unknowingly contributed to its failure.

Accordingly OK! magazineAccording to a source, there was tension between Lopez and Affleck’s ex-wife Jennifer Garner as the singer felt “threatened” by her throughout her marriage to the “Argo” actor.

“J.Lo felt threatened by Jen Garner for almost her entire marriage,” the insider claimed. “The way Ben would run to her and ask her for advice every time they argued drove her crazy.”

Apparently, Affleck and Garner maintained a cordial relationship even after their divorce in 2018. They were seen several times in the company of their three children Violet, Fin and Samuel.

The insider further told the news outlet that Affleck enjoys “spending time with Jen and her kids” because it’s “much more comfortable than trying to live the blended family life.”

“He is so comfortable with her, there is no tension, no pressure, he can be himself,” the source added.

Apparently, Lopez’s alleged concerns played a role before she filed for divorce from Affleck. At the time they were having problems, Affleck left her marital home in Beverly Hills and moved into a $100,000 rental home in Brentwood, near Garner.

In August, Affleck and Garner were seen accompanying their daughter Violet to her first year at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.

They were also spotted serving food at the Midnight Mission in LA, California on Thanksgiving Day and reportedly spent Christmas together as well.

“Jen and Ben were all together for Christmas. It’s all for the kids,” a source said People magazine. “Jen grew up surrounded by her family during the holidays and she wants the same for her children.”

Meanwhile, Garner is reportedly happy that Affleck is leaving Lopez and has reportedly expressed her decision to stop communicating with Lopez.

“Jen no longer wants to communicate with J.Lo unless it’s about the kids,” an insider said Daily Mail.

“Her friends think she shouldn’t have gotten so involved in helping J.Lo sort out her marriage to Ben. Especially considering that Jen felt outgunned by J.Lo at times during her own marriage. “Jen is too nice and really wanted help, so she tried,” the source explained.

Another source told star that Affleck has made progress in his effort to separate from the “Let’s Get Loud” singer and is trying to be there for his children with Garner.

“Now that Ben is back to his old routine, he’s feeling good,” the insider told the news outlet. “Spending time with Jen Garner and the kids over the holidays helped him feel like all was right in his world again.”

Although they have parted ways, Lopez and Affleck have chosen to maintain a warm relationship for the sake of their children.

The exes met at the members-only Soho House in West Hollywood over Christmas, where they had lunch together and even exchanged gifts.

A source told Page Six that they “have every intention of continuing to be in each other’s lives even if they don’t have a romantic relationship.”

The insider added: “Ben and Jennifer are still connected and they communicate when it comes to their children.”

The “Atlas” actress rang in the New Year in Aspen, Colorado, with her mother Guadalupe, sister Lynda, manager Benny Medina, her children Emme and Max, and other music producers and stylists.

In a recent Instagram post from the snowy getaway, she showed Affleck what he was missing by showing off her figure in a black string bikini with gold accents.

The video also showed other moments from her icy vacation, including decorating a Christmas tree, dancing with friends at what looks like a bar, and taking a sleigh ride with her friend.

“We’ll be back, Aspen,” Lopez wrote in the caption of the Instagram post.
