Why you’re still inflamed

Why you’re still inflamed

Share with us some thoughts about why you might still have inflammation even if you do everything.

Hello friends! How are you doing? I hope your morning goes well. I have a podcast interview, a dentist appointment, and a discovery call for a potential new client this afternoon.

Today I wanted to talk about a hot topic. This has come up a lot in direct messages, with clients, and even in conversations with friends:

“I feel like I’m doing everything right…why do I still feel inflamed?”

And I understand it because I was there too. And honestly, I was there myself recently and it’s annoying lol.

You eat clean, exercise, take supplements, try to stay on top of things… and your body still feels bad. Maybe it’s bloating, lack of energy, stubborn weight, or just that general “blah” feeling you can’t quite explain.

It’s frustrating, especially when you try so hard.

Here are some of the things that could happen: (Of course, if you ever feel unwell, talk to your doctor)

Why You’re Still Inflamed Even Though You’re “Doing Everything Right”

1. You have too little energy (even if you eat “healthily”)

This is so common, especially among women who are motivated and disciplined.

You eat clean, whole foods, but not enough of them.

When your body doesn’t receive enough energy, it experiences stress. And what happens under stress?

– Cortisol increases

– Blood sugar becomes unstable

– Inflammation increases

Your body goes into survival mode, not healing mode.

Signs this could be you:

You feel tired and tired

You’re hungry at night

Your workout feels harder than it should

Despite consistency, you don’t see results

Sometimes the most healing thing is to eat more.

2. You’re training too much (and resting too little)

More is not always better.

When you combine intense workouts (HIIT, long cardio, boot camps) on top of an already busy, stressful life, your body may not be able to keep up.

Sport is a stress factor. A good one; but still a stress factor.

Without proper recovery, the following may occur:

Chronic inflammation

Hormonal imbalances

Fatigue and burnout

Increased cravings

This doesn’t mean you have to stop exercising.

It just means your body may be craving:

More strength training

More rest days

More gentle exercise (walking, yoga, barre)

Sometimes you actually get better results by dialing it back.

3. Your detoxification pathways are sluggish

Your body is constantly working to eliminate toxins by:

liver

Colon

Kidneys

Lymphatic system

skin

If these pathways are not supported, toxins can circulate instead of being excreted.

This can look like this:

Flatulence

Skin problems

Hormonal imbalances

Feeling inflamed or “toxic.”

This is where basic support is so important:

Hydration

fiber

Minerals

Sweat

Tools I personally love for this:

A good one Magnesium supplement (supports detoxification + relaxation)

Daily minerals/electrolytes (very important for cell function). I take the Zero Lyte from Thriving market

Sauna sessions (Sweating is one of the most underrated detox remedies). Use FITNESSISTA15

Red light therapy (supports cell repair + inflammation). At FITNESSISTA you get a big discount.

I love that too EquiLife Detox namely quarterly.

4. Your stress levels are just… high

This is the piece no one wants to hear, but it is often the greatest piece.

Even if everything looks “healthy” on paper, your body only cares about one thing: safety. Your body needs to feel safe in order to do the things you need (and want) to do.

Stress is not just emotional.

It can come from:

Busy schedules

Lack of sleep

Blood sugar fluctuations

Excessive training

malnutrition

Processed foods and sugar

Environmental toxins

When stress is high, your body’s priority is survival; not fat loss, hormone balance or optimal digestion.

Therefore things like:

Nervous system support

Quality sleep

Boundaries

Simple daily rhythms

may make a bigger difference than another supplement.

5. You miss the root cause

Here I see so many women trying their luck.

They do everything right, but they guess. Plus, they take a billion supplements they saw on Instagram without testing them.

Without testing, you could be missing:

Mineral imbalances

Intestinal dysfunction

Detox inefficiencies

Hormonal imbalances

And if you don’t know the root cause, you can easily do the following:

Overcomplementation

Follow random protocols

Waste time and money

This is exactly why I’m such a big fan of functional testing – it takes out the guesswork and gives you a clear plan.

So… what should you do next?

If you’re reading this and thinking, “Okay, that’s me…” this is a friendly reminder that you’re not alone and you’re not doing anything wrong. Your body simply needs the right data and support.

Start here:

Make sure you eat enough (especially protein + carbohydrates).

View your training intensity and recovery

Support your detoxification pathways in a simple, consistent way

Prioritize sleep and nervous system regulation

From there you can be more strategic.

If you would like support

If you’re tired of guessing and want a personalized plan, I have a few options:

EquiLife Detox – a good starting point if you want to support your body’s natural detoxification pathways in a structured and feasible way

1:1 Coaching (Healing Code) – for more comprehensive support, testing and a fully personalized plan

Or just reply to this post and tell me what’s going on. I read every message and am always happy to point you in the right direction.
