My first 48 hours with the Galaxy S25 Ultra were realistic bending

I used Samsung new Galaxy S25 Ultra For a few days and I have a confession. For years my absolute preferred UltraWide camera was on every phone on Samsung Galaxys models and the new version on the S25 Ultra Is even better. If the Galaxy S10 series In 2019 I was not able to take enough photos with Samsung’s first ultrawide camera. Was it perfect? No. But the lens had an incredible way of distorting the reality so that ultrawide photos make photos look dramatic without fully running out with distorted edges.

Over the years, Samsung has updated the lens and the sensor on its ultraWide camera. And the Galaxy S25 Ultra rocks a new version with a 50 megapixel sensor and it is amazing. After my first 48 hours with the S25 ultra, the ultrawide seems to be grasped a lot of details, while you have a respectable dynamic area, especially for high contrasting with different light and shadowlike sunrise. Obviously I have more tests to do, but so far I like the photos that I get from the new UltraWide camera.

The Ultra Ultra ultrawide gives Peebles a dramatic look of the cat while rocking out of the window.

Take a look at the detail that the S25 Ultra UltraWide took in this photo of Peebles The Cat. Although Peebles stormed into his window bed, the phone caught a lot of texture in his fur and his mustache. This picture has challenging lighting, whereby sunshine flows through the window to the left into an otherwise dark room. Note the image noise in the shadow on the right. Perfect? No, but in my book the dramatic distortion of the detail and the lens make it out.

Although the UltraWide camera is not perfect (and is still a step down compared to the main camera), it can generate breathtaking shots such as the water that flows down the stone -flowing steps.

Here is an absorption of a water sculpture in the early morning with the ultraWide. The flowing water looks like glass against the stone. This picture is overhaulet, but I like the appearance of the Sunburst flicker in the upper right corner.

Macro photography will receive a nice thrust thanks to the new 50 megapixel sensor.

The Ultra of S25 Ultra serves as a macro lens, so that it comes very close to its topic and still keeps things in focus. In this photo of a Godzilla toy on window goggles, the plastic structure of the monster is pretty good. Note the details of the turquoise eyes and cream-colored teeth-godzilla may have to go to a dentist. Also the S25 Ultra -exposed to the image of Godzilla, which avoids an outbreak of the highlight of the sky and the cityscape outside the window.

This photo was taken with the main camera of the S25 Ultra.

Here is the same scene with the UltraWide camera.

The ultra wide is not without defects and is still a step down compared to the main camera. In the photos above, note that the image of the main camera contains better details in the shade (the trees on the right) and a wider dynamic area and that the main camera uses less noise reduction (the bricks in the buildings). But even with these disadvantages, pictures from the ultra wide are mostly striking.

Here are a few ultrawide snapshots from the S25 Ultra.

This ultrawide picture was recorded indoors with a mixture of upper lamps and daylight that came in from the windows.

I am impressed by the dynamic area, which is not as wide as the main camera, but is respectable for an ultra -wire telephone camera.

Maisie, the cat’s view of the cat, looks all the more dramatic through an Ultrawid lens. Of course, it is as this photo is, it is not perfect because the shadows in your coat are crumpled black.

AI and rounded corners

But wait, there is more! While the Ultra does not refer to the UltraWide lens in the name of the phone, it symbolizes the ambitions of this telephone. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is ultra in terms of technical data: Snapdragon 8 Elite chip12 GB RAM, a 5,000 mAh battery, two tele cameras, a pen and the true star of the phone. However, the same applies from the last year of last year S24 UltraIf you can quickly exchange the new chip for the last year Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

With regard to the physical design, the S25 Ultra now has the corners instead of the Galaxy Notor-Ish right-angled corners that can be found on previous ultra phones. And similar to the regular Galaxy S25 and S25 PlusThe edges of the phone are now flat, what to keep the phone easier. The S25 ultra weighs less than the previous year’s model. The view of videos, playing games or scrolling the social feeds feels more and more thanks to the thinner lunettes of the screen. None of these refines is important, but they add up to make the S25 appear more polished, and less than I have a technically thick brick with me.

Then there is the AI. Oh, the AI. During the unveiling of the S25 Ultra at the unpacked event Galaxy, Samsung raised his relationship and partnership Google. And that could be the best way to think about it All of these AI functions. You need a Google account for the Gemini page of things and a Samsung account for the device and the Bixby page of things.

Take a look at this: Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Praxis-On: A larger screen and more AI

As announced, I let myself be thought of with a long-term on the Pown button at the Gemini interface to ask things what the next Warriors game was and add to my calendar. It is nice to carry out a digital assistant from a single command. Unfortunately, the game of the Samsung calendar and not the Google Calendar -App added that I have used for years. An assumption that meant that I had to add the event to the latter calendar manually anyway.

This may sound funny, but about my preference for Google apps compared to Samsung are a digital assistant that is able to get used to it. Like most telephone owners, I mastered the only step that our current smartphones have had in years. In the short time in which I had the phone, I keep trying to think about additional options for using this more demanding helper.

My last thought is that the idea of the now -bar on the lock screen shows me the live updates for background apps. But in contrast to the iPhone and its live activities on the lock screen, it is very limited at the moment. I see the potential and hope that this is something that Samsung can make more third -party developers use.

I have more tests to do, but after two days I still feel good over the new S25 Ultra.
