Rabat-the sixteen-year-old Moroccan alpinist Youssef Tazi would like to be the youngest Moroccan, Arab and African, who reaches the Everest summit by 2027.
The alpinist today divided his ambition in an explanation and announced his big project to reach the Everest summit at the age of 18.
“This project has an important sporting, human and national dimension and aims to be a source of inspiration for Moroccan and African adolescents,” the alpinist said that the alpinist began its all -rounders at the age of 4.
He was accompanied and managed by his father Omar Tazi.
In the past nine years, the alpinist has climbed over 50 peaks in Morocco and at international heights, including Mount Ararat in Turkey – which is the highest point in the country.
His completed projects also include Mount Kilimanjaro from Tanzania, the highest point in Africa, and Mount Elbrus in Russia, the highest point in Europe.
Tazi, whose motto “is impossible, is not Moroccan”, aims to step into the footsteps of young alpinists who have increased Everest at a young age. The list includes Jordan Romero, who reached the summit at the age of 13 and 1 months, Lamavatah Poorna from India, who ended the challenge at the age of 13 and 11 months, and Ming Kipa from Nepal, who rose to the intimidating mountain at the age of 15.
In his statement, Youssef emphasized that he is now looking for partners and sponsors and would like to connect his image with his Everest project.
This announcement takes place months after the young alpinist said last year that his son was ambitious and determined to conquer the highest peaks with his extraordinary talent in mountaineering, despite his young age all challenges.
For the father, this limitless passion and love of Youssef are ultimate The driver and motivation when he wants to achieve new heights on this demanding journey of the victim and the continuing commitment to his ambitious goals.
