The Dallas Cowboys officially revealed their tenth head coach in franchise history for a much-published search that contained two prominent names in Deion Sanders and Pete Carroll.
Ultimately, the franchise decided to look inside and to promote the offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer to the head coach and to start a new era of the cowboy football. The fans had mixed reactions to the attitude, especially because Schottenheimer had previously worked under Mike McCarthy, indicating that the team continued with some of McCarthy’s ideas. In addition, Schottenheimer did not refer to the games as an offensive coordinator, which further concerns.
The former Cowboys All-Pro-Wide recipient DED Bryant expressed a more pessimistic view of the hiring of Schottenheimer. During an interview about Sirius XM, Bryant informed his thoughts about the Schottenheim rent and accused Dallas not to be “serious” the future:

“I felt that the cowboys were rebuilt last year. They correctly proved me,” said Bryant. “When I look at DAK Prescott and this crime, I look at the things you have to be successful in this league. I just don’t see it.”

The search then narrowed to the former offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and the offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer.
After the Cowboys interviewed Schottenheimer, they quickly planned a second round with their own OC. This interview took longer, and Jerry Jones recognized the risk of involving Schottenheimer as head coach when stopping Schottenheim, but remained optimistic about the future of the franchise.
In the meantime, Kellen Moore is expected to be the next head coach of the New Orleans Saints Super Bowl ends on Sunday.
