Doha-World Football Summit (WFS) will hold his first African edition in Rabat on April 9th
The event organized in partnership With EVOSPORT and the Royal Maroccan Football Federation (FRMF), the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) is taking place on the Rabat Campus.
Under the topic of “cultivation of Africa’s future football heritage about the World Cup”, the summit aims to tackle the critical aspects of football development on the entire continent, where the sports industry has an annual growth rate of 8%.
“Africa is one of the most promising limits of global football with a huge unused potential, especially in the areas of media rights, infrastructure and talent development.” said Jan Alessie, co -founder and managing director of the World Football Summit.
In the two -day event, representatives of FIFA, CAF, National Football Associations, Professional Clubs and Ligen are offered.
The summit’s agenda includes infrastructure development, sports tourism, youth training, governance, women’s football and technological innovation in African football.
Morocco’s selection as hosts follows his significant achievements in football, including its historical performance at the FIFA World Cup 2022 and their Successful offer Co-moderator of the 2030 World Cup.

Sessions will cover organization by AFCON 2025 and strategies to determine new standards in tournament management.
The summit will also deal with the role of African Super League in improving global competitiveness and sustainable growth of women’s football on the entire continent.
Other focus areas include the integration of AI, Sportstech and Blockchain in African football as well as the discussion about improving governance structures and transparency.
The event will also deal with the expansion of digital platforms and innovative approaches to fan moneization in the African context.
WFS was founded in 2016 and attracted over 25,000 participants at 25 events and built a global community with more than 130,000 interest groups in the industry.
The event begins on April 8 with a welcome reception dinner, followed by two days of intensive panels and networking opportunities.
The Rabat summit is completed with the WFS -Honors ceremony and recognizes excellent performance in the development of the football industry.
