Woman who murdered Selena applies for parole

Ironically, Yolanda snapped while serving as president of the singer’s fan club. She shot Selena on March 31, 1995 in a hotel room in Corpus Christi, Texas, during a dispute over embezzled $60,000. The singer planned to fire the president of the fan club. Saldivar has insisted from the start that the shooting was accidental and that she intended to kill herself and not the beloved artist. “She has a bounty on her head, as if everyone wants a piece of her. The guards keep her away from everyone else because she is so hated. If she were outside, someone would try to take her down,” Lopez reportedly said.
