Before the changes on Thursday, the TIKTOK web app layout contained a search bar and links that ran next to the left on the left over the top of the screen. Now all of them have been integrated into the vertical navigation rod on the left. The idea is to reduce distractions for immersive consideration when the platform moves to compete with YouTube and Twitch.
Speaking of Twitch, Tiktok, the live streaming of live games in portrait and landscape modes now supports. Before today they could only use the latter Tikoks Live -Studio -App. If you stream live in the landscape, desktop users will determine this view by default, while mobile users can turn their devices to observe them in a broad image (like everyone before Tikok came).
In the meantime, a floating player that keeps Tikok visible over its other windows is exclusively for Chrome for desktop.
There is also a new collection function (similar to YouTube’s Playlists), in which you can organize your favorite videos in custom categories so that you can return to you more easily later. The mobile app functions for the desktop contain the Feed for themWhere you can find algorithmically selected content based on your interests and on the “Explore” page, on which trend hash tags and popular content are displayed.
The changes to the desktop browser version are now available worldwide.
