Rabat-Morokko’s under-17 soccer team is preparing for a hard game against Cote d’Ivoire on Tuesday evening in the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) for U-17 teams.
The game begins at 8:00 p.m. local time in the El Bachir Stadium in Mohammedia. Fans can catch the action live on the Moroccan sports channel Arryadia.
The Moroccan team wants to reach the final of the tournament for the second time in a row. To do this, you have to beat a strong Ivorian team, winner of the U-17 AFCON 2013.
The coach of Moroccos, Nabil Baha, said before the big game that his team was ready and concentrated on victory. “We have a lot of strong players in the attack who can break through the opponent’s defense,” he said. “We have prepared all possible scenarios and tactical plans to beat the Ivory Coast and reach the final.”
Baha, a former international player, also advised to play in front of home fans. “Playing in Mohammedia in front of Moroccan followers is a big boost for the players. They want to do their best and make the fans proud.”
It is expected that the match is a struggle between Morocco’s powerful attack and the solid defense of Cote d’Ivoire. So far, Morocco has scored 11 goals and only granted one in the tournament. Cote d’Ivoire, on the other hand, has scored 10 goals and did not add any goals.
