WATCH: Kagiso Rabada delivers stunning performance to dismiss Jonny Bairstow in SA20 2025
In a breathtaking display of bowling prowess Kagiso Rabada delivered a remarkable performance that deserved to be said goodbye Jonny Bairstow during the fourth game of the SA20 2025 on Saturday, January 11th. In the game at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, Rabada’s exceptional skills were on full display as he outwitted the England star with a perfectly executed leg cut.
A magical moment from Kagiso Rabada
It all happened in the 12th over of the Joburg Super Kings innings. Rabada bowled a brilliant leg-cutter that landed perfectly and swung away sharply, leaving Bairstow in all sorts of trouble. The batsman was leveled as the ball deviated just enough to break through his defense and crash into the stumps.
Rabada’s performance was a masterpiece – fast, deceptive and unplayable. Bairstow, who had 14 off 14 balls with a four and a six, was disappointed by the sheer quality of the ball being bowled.
After being sent off, Rabada celebrated with his trademark intensity, pumping his fists in the air as he acknowledged the crowd’s cheers.

The Joburg Super Kings won by 6 runs (DLS method)
As for the outcome of the match, Joburg Super Kings secured a thrilling six-run win over MI Cape Town using the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method in a rain-marred match. The game was interrupted several times by rain, which ultimately reduced MI Cape Town’s chase to 136 runs in 19 overs. However, persistent rain showers halted the game at 82/3 after 11.3 overs.
