Warning: Snowfall is expected in several Moroccan provinces from Saturday to Monday
Rabat – Snowfall of 10 to 40 cm (4 to 15 inches) is forecast at altitudes above 1,500 meters in several provinces of the kingdom from Saturday to Monday, the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) said.
Snowfall of 20 to 40 cm (8 to 15 inches) is expected, particularly in the provinces of Midelt, Azilal, Beni Mellal, Tinghir, Al Haouz and Ouarzazate, according to a level orange weather warning issued by the DGM on Thursday.
Meanwhile, snowfall of between 10 and 20 cm (4 to 8 inches) is expected in Ifrane, Chichaoua, Taroudant and Boulemane provinces during the same period, the DGM added.
