Paul Wall gets honest about the moment he learned about his race
Recently, Paul Wall stopped at the Breakfast Club and revealed that he only realized he was white when the white people told him he was. He told how white people came up to him and said: “You white man, why are you talking and acting like that?” and it always confused him.
The Texas spitter said the moment struck him when he was young, probably in elementary or middle school. Paul explained that he grew up in an extremely “diverse” neighborhood in Houston, Texas, surrounded by blacks, Asians and Hispanics.
He then joked with Charlamagne Tha God that he went home and “cried to his mom and confronted her for not telling him he was white.” Paul laughed with the morning crew and shared that his mother took a DNA test that revealed she is “3% black.” The “Sittin’ Sidewayz” rapper went on to say that while his mother took a test, he hasn’t yet taken one to officially learn about his background.
