The US strikes on Sanaa come amid a recent series of attacks between the Yemeni rebel group and the Israeli military.
The US military says it has carried out airstrikes in the Yemeni capital Sanaa against targets linked to the Houthi rebels, including a missile depot and a “command and control post”.
U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), which oversees U.S. Army operations in the Middle East, said Saturday that the attacks were aimed at “disrupting and detrimental to Houthi operations.”
The Iran-allied group has previously launched attacks on US naval and commercial vessels in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandeb and the Gulf of Aden, CENTCOM said on a social network post.
The US strikes come amid an increase in attacks between the Houthis and the Israeli military this week.
Israel bombed several targets in Yemen on Thursday, including power plants near Sanaa.
The Israeli bombing, which killed at least nine people, followed a rocket launch by the Houthis, officially known as Ansar Allah, toward Tel Aviv.

In the latest incident in the early hours of Saturday, the Houthis said they fired a ballistic missile into central Israel.
The Israeli military said this was the case He failed to intercept the projectilewhich fell in the Tel Aviv-Jaffa area.
According to local emergency services, 16 people were “minorly injured” in the incident.
The Houthis have targeted Israel with drones and missiles to pressure the US ally to end its war in Gaza, where the US-backed Israeli military has done so killed more than 45,000 people.
The Yemeni rebels also carried out attacks on shipping lanes in and around the Red Sea as part of the same campaign that they said was aimed at supporting Palestinians.
In response to the Red Sea attacks, the US and UK have been bombing Houthi targets in Yemen for months.
The government of US President Joe Biden has also imposed sanctions against the Houthis.
On Thursday, Washington sanctioned the governor the central bank in Houthi-controlled Sanaa and several Houthi officials and affiliated companies, accusing them of helping the group acquire “dual-use and weapons components.”
