US hostage taker in Syria seeks answers about missing journalist

Roger Carstens, the Biden administration’s top official responsible for releasing Americans held abroad, is in favor of a high-risk mission in Syria: making the first known personal contact with the interim government and asking for help finding missing American journalist Austin Tice.
