Un: Children raped as a weapon of war

The use of rape as a war weapon was uncovered in the middle of a large conflict. The UN Children’s Agency’s investigators say that hundreds of little girls and boys, some not even a year old, more than a dozen under the age of five, were terribly sexually abused by armed men in the civil war of the Sudan. Both the army and the RSF paramilitaries were accused of the atrocities, which gives a brutal war a terrible new dimension that has demanded tens of thousands of human life since April.
