Transparency and participation: Morocco shares his experience in Nairobi


Morocco’s progress in relation to Open Governance were presented in Nairobi on Tuesday during the regional meeting of the partnership for an open government (PGO).

The General Director for Services for the municipality of Agadir, Mohamed Benlahcen, presented the city’s experience in the management of the sports infrastructure and the digitization of municipal services, which improved transparency and access to services.

The Vice President of the Council of the Oriental region, Saliha Hajji, has explained a regional strategic vision that focuses on water resources, digital transformation and technological innovation to strengthen the transparency and participation of citizens.

Rabie El Khamlichi, General Director for Services in the Tanger-Touan-Al Hceima region, described the goals of the second action plan (2024-2026), which focused on the participation of citizens, digital transparency and environmental care. He also presented the implementation of an integrated integrated integrated management system (Quality Quality Umwelt) and the Nexus Eau-Energie-Energie approach (WEFE).

The meeting, which continues until Thursday, brings regional actors together to discuss the challenges and solutions in relation to transparency, household opening and digital governance.
