The closure of the US government has occurred its second day and the effects begin to feel across the country. Numerous national monuments in the United States have closed for visitors because thousands of federal workers have taken unpaid vacation.
The BBC spoke to tourists in Washington about the websites that they cannot visit, and about what the legislators should do to get forward.
