The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) intends to increase the tourist exchange between Morocco and China. He started a roadshow until February 22nd in the cities of Beijing and Shanghai, the reopening of the Royal Air Maroc Line (RAM) Casablanca-Pékin and the introduction of the new connection of Shanghai-Casablanca, which operated by the Chinese company China China Eastern was opened. In fact, China is a large exhibition market. In 2019 it was the first country to publish tourists with 155 million international travelers. A market that is full of possibilities for Morocco, the first tourist destination in Africa with 17.4 million tourists in 2024.
The onmt roadshow aims to energety the tourist exchange between the two countries. This program, which brings the main actors in the Moroccan sector – receptive travel agencies (DMCS), hotels, exclusive experiences – in cooperation with the National Tourism Council (CNT) onm. This initiative is part of a global relaxation strategy with the main goal of combining Moroccan partners with the specificities of the Chinese market again, an essential player in international tourism, says the office.
Morocco tries to position strategic segments such as luxury, tailor -made trips and small groups and thus meet the new expectations of Chinese travelers. Last year, the ONMT in cooperation with special trading and marketing agencies carried out various advertising measures.
According to ONMT, this strategy focused in particular on the resumption of cooperation with the most important market participants, the distribution of the new Morocco brand Morocco, participation in international trade fairs such as ITB China 2024 and the organization of inclusion carriers and influences. In addition, an increased presence on Chinese media channels and the creation of institutional accounts in social networks complement this system.
