Tom Holland’s father says he and Zendaya always “confuse” him.

Zendaya debuted a diamond-encrusted ring on her ring finger during the 2025 Golden Globes Awards, causing quite a stir as people wondered if Tom had popped the question.

Soon after, it was confirmed that the lovebirds were indeed engaged, and information has since emerged about how the “Avengers” star planned the proposal, which was last shared by his father.

Dominic shared his joy at how Tom and Zendaya have handled the public attention their relationship has brought them in a January 10 Patreon post.

The proud father, who shares Tom, 28, and his brothers Harry and Sam, 25, and Paddy, 20, with his wife Nicki Holland, believes the Spider-Man star has the perfect plan thanks to him and Nicki’s which he can follow for 30 years of marriage.

He wrote: “Although show business is a messy place for relationships, especially for famous couples, as they crash and burn in public and are too numerous to mention, with us as an example, Nikki being that family and my ‘wisdom.’ ‘ directs. I am absolutely confident that they will have a successful relationship.”

Much has been said about Tom taking the time to plan his proposal to Zendaya. Insiders revealed that he had asked the actress’ father, Kazembe Ajamu Coleman, for her hand in marriage months ago.

Dominic gave us a glimpse into how his eldest son carefully planned his marriage proposal.

“He bought a ring,” Dominic explained. “He had spoken to her father and received permission to propose to his daughter. Tom had it all planned out… When, where, how, what to say, what to wear….”

After Tom and Zendaya’s engagement was confirmed, an insider said PEOPLE magazine that the 28-year-old has been interested in proposing “for some time.”

The source also said: “He has always been crazy about her. He always knew she was the one. There’s something really special about them.”

Tom’s intentions with Zendaya were reportedly so clear that everyone close to them “knew the engagement was going to happen,” although they weren’t sure when it would happen.

Although Tom and Zendaya are in no rush to walk down the aisle, sources close to the lovebirds revealed that they are ready to take the next step in their relationship and think about “starting a family” as soon as they get married tied the knot for life.

An insider told the outlet: “The proposal was sweet and romantic and came about over the holidays. He did it the old-fashioned way and got her parents’ permission. Everyone is excited.”

The insider continued: “She got everything she dreamed of and next on her list is marrying Tom and starting a family.”

TMZ reported that the Spider-Man: No Way Home co-stars got matching tattoos at a Boston tattoo company in Massachusetts the day before Thanksgiving.

According to the outlet, the two got small and subtle tattoos, with Zendaya getting a “T” tattoo on her ribcage while Tom got a “Z” tattoo in the same spot.

The tabloid also claimed that Zendaya’s mother accompanied her to her tattoo date and got a little ink herself.
