“You know what’s amazing is our house was built in 1711, before George Washington was born. … It’s a way to stay creatively stimulating when I’m not filming and working,” Blucas gushed during a 2016 interview at Hallmark’s Home and family. “We wanted to be closer to family, so we moved back to the East Coast to be with them. It is the only place in the United States that has such architecture with old barns and old stone houses.”
According to Blucas, the properties have become “projects for life”.
“We have that 15 chickens, two rabbits, a dog, cats – the wildlife is (off the charts),” he added. “We see (foxes and deer) all the time. We accommodate them all. In fact, my wife (and I) had to implement a new rule. … We were working on the main house and my wife comes home with chicks and I’m like, ‘Where are we taking them, honey?'”
