The Ministry of Economic and Finance Ministry (MEF) has received the “Tier III Facility” certification for its main datacenter, an award awarded by the Uptime Institute, a global reference in relation to the reliability of the IT infrastructure. This certification, a first in Moroccan public administration, guarantees high availability and optimal resilience of the ministry’s digital services.
In order to be certified, the data center had to meet strict criteria, especially with regard to the infrastructure address, the management of breakdowns without interruption and advanced security. The power supply and cooling systems are completely doubled, which enables maintenance without impairing the digital services.
This process required several exams, which were led by the Uptime Institute in the last quarter of 2024. Strict tests for the simulation of breaks and maintenance processes under real conditions have confirmed the data center capacity for operation without interruption.
This certification is part of the MEF strategy to modernize and secure your IT infrastructure. It reflects its commitment to comply with the most demanding international standards for the governance and security of information systems.
