Over the years, I’ve watched hundreds of people start selling training and nutrition programs online, with no certifications, no experience training actual customers, and no oversight.
Not only is it misleading, it’s dangerous.
Helping someone with training and nutrition is a HUGE responsibility and one I don’t take lightly.
So if you train with me MOVE Or choose another plan. For this reason, you should make sure they are a certified personal trainer.
Why train with a certified personal trainer?
A trainer certified through a nationally accredited program such as NASM must complete intensive courses and testing to receive training in:
- Basic exercises in science
- Science of human movement
- Fitness reviews
- Program design and the Optimum Performance Training (OPT) model
- Speed, agility and quickness training
- Nutrition Best Practices
- Customer interaction and professional development
As with many professions, we must undertake a certain level of continuing education to ensure we remain up to date on techniques, research and training methods.
I have personally completed over 20 different training areas including prenatal and postnatal training, flexibility, yoga, and recently received a new certification as a behavioral trainer Change specialist from NASM.
Not ALL certifications are created equal.
Whether you’re looking for a trainer or want to become self-certified, make sure you find a program that is nationally accredited.
This is the only way to ensure that it is 100% genuine and meets the highest training standards.
