The New Year is a great time for nerds like me. If you’re a fan of the joy of a new training diary, the new promise of a program you’ll tick off day after day, or even (admit it) the kid doing that Really If you loved filling in bubbles with a #2 pencil, you’ll enjoy this bubble-style calendar that a generous Redditor releases every year.
Here is the 2025 versionAvailable in two sizes, with the week starting on either Sunday or Monday, depending on your preference. The user who posts it every year passes by in u/PropelSo check out her profile next January once you’ve filled it out.
The two sizes are 8.5″ x 11″, best for printing on a standard American letter size printer, and 8″ x 10″, best for submitting as a “photo” to a photo printing service.
How to use the bubble calendar
Honestly, it’s just a piece of paper with circles on it, so you can use it however you want. But it was inspired by this posterapparently released by Saucony and Fleet Feet in 2019, which asked you to fill in one of the bubbles on each run.
If you’re printing the 8″ x 10″ version from a photo service, you’ll probably want to use a marker to fill in the bubbles. But if you have access to a regular paper printer, you’ll experience the elementary school thrill of being able to fill in the bubbles with a beautiful paper Ticonderoga Pencil.
Last year I decided to use Bladder Calendar to track my cardio. (I find it easy to keep up with strength training, but less so with cardio.) When I did a bike ride, run, or other targeted cardio exercise, I filled up that day’s bladder. When I went for a walk, I would draw an X in the bubble to partially acknowledge myself. At the beginning of the year, most of my workouts were cardio Power Zone bike training; In summer and autumn it was mostly runs.
How You The use of the calendar is up to you. You can log any type of training. You can use different colors for different types or lengths of training. Or you can use the calendar to track how often you floss, eat vegetables, or get to bed on time. Go ahead, it’s all yours.
