The Venezuelan opposition leader makes his first public appearance in months

Maria Corina Machado, Venezuelan opposition leader and Nobel Peace Prize winner, made her first public appearance in nearly a year on Thursday, waving to her supporters from her hotel balcony in Oslo. Her daughter accepted the award on her behalf on Wednesday as Machado arrived in Norway just hours later, ending a long period in hiding under Maduro’s regime.
