The Ukrainians gathered outside of Kelowna on Monday, just like three years ago.
The 17-year-old Maksym Maksvchuk remembered the day he was in military training when Russia started a complete attack against Ukraine in February 2022.
“We hid in a large basement and heard that the rockets could get through, maybe next in the next streets,” said Maksvchuk.

Since then, like the more than 8 million other Ukrainians, he has fled her house.
“When you hear that you see that your house is no longer there, people lose everything, they start their lives completely. They are so happy to have their children, ”said Kelowna, Vice President Denys Storozhuk, with the Ukraine Vice President.

In a statement, the Ministry of Immigration said that refugees and citizenship Canada: “The IRCC is aware of the difficulties and delays the Ukrainian customers with regard to the renewal of their passes, questions about these delays can be addressed to the Ukrainian consulate.”
However, the delays were in danger that Maksvchuk will be sent back to Ukraine, which means that it is fighting near the front fights.
“I’ll be with my father, so a good thing about it,” he said.
